In Memory of Ed Dawson
We lost a dear friend and fellow golfer this year. Ed has supported our work from the very beginning. He will be greatly missed.
Welcome to the Midwest Golf Classic! This year's golf outing will prove to be another great golf event! As always it will be a super competitive round of golf, with a lot of great challenges before the round, during the round, and after the round! We will end the day with a delicious meal and the fabled raffle! This year, we will be raising money for a brand new benevolent effort called 'SOLID Steps'. An after-school program using taekwondo as a foundational activity to teach and train elementary school-age kids in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, personal discipline, coping skills, morality, and values, as well as helping them with school. Our goal is to have 72 golfers and raise $30,000 for the charity. We do have the capacity for 144. Please ask your friends and family to come support a great cause.
We are very excited to support this effort because it was created by concerned people from the Chicago area, the board is made up of people from Lawndale, and it will be staffed by people from neighborhoods like Lawndale and Austin.
I sincerely hope that all of you who have landed on this website will support our effort in any way you can through this event.
Now lets go golfing for good!
